i really really really love their aestetics and their production it's just so fresh so smooth so dreamy so artsy i dont know that did it i think.

like their music is good but the way it's produced or even just the structure is just so FRESH, like it's different. And for me it's a mix of aesthetics/production (music) even tho all the factors listed matter as well.

Like just the aestetics without the music would have grabed my attention for sure the most at first but it's the added music/production that binds it to me and gets me obssessed.

Ps: plus the girls synergy and cuteness just made me fall in love with them . their vibes are +++. They remind me so much of SNSD in this regard, like you can't manifacture personalities .

I don’t think they did, for various reasons by the way, too many foreign members and just not the same attachement impact and culturel influence SNSD had on gp and now NJ has and is building up.

and dreams come true is also a great song (if you take out the cringe english parts ), its like propably their best TT in my opinion .

Well they don't have many b sides lol, most of their songs are TT. They have like 12 songs and only 4 are bsides.

But id say NewJeans NewJeans is a great bside as well as ASAP.

Firstly Taeyeon! That girl debuted more than 15 years ago and did not have a comeback since forever and she is still in the top 10 . A living legend she is!

Then NJ aligning right next to each others almost filling up the top 5 as a whole group is literaly legendary . And Hyein being regnognized as the queen that she is . Justice has been done!

truly whaterver strategy MHJ used to build a gg full of hit girls should be adopted by everyone man , its INSANE.

Exactly, i think in korea Twice and Red Velvet were more loved by the gp than BP ever was. It's only post 2019/20 when these two major groups light kinda died down and with BP exeptional global sucess that gp started to like BP more. But never at the level Twice and RV at their pyke were. Its like 2ne1 somehow, big influence in music but not much gp attachement to the group unlike SNSD and NJ.

So it’s kinda wrong to compare NJ with BP regarding their impact on the gp and theit cultural influence in korea. It's more comparable to groups like SNSD/Twice/ even RV.

I know they are very popular, but Twice specially during and post Cheer up were also very popular and trendy with the gp. Kids knew their songs etc. Having such impact is aleady expetional.

But that doesn’t mean that it the same sort of impact that SNSD had. And i think NJs impact right now is the most similar to that and i think its just the beginning.

NJ has the biggest 4th gen hit. No comparaison, just like Gee. While Ives LD is more comparable to Cheer up. NJs impact transcends music, their dominance is almost total (except peak uls). But so what, 2ne1 also had crazy digital impact but their cultural impact and overal influence were nowhere near. Just like Ive. (Look at the major cfs and brand deals they get, from mcd to coca to apple etc).

The only reason some of the members (aka Won and Yujin) are somewhat more popular right now is only because NJ is only and year old grpup while they actually debuted years ago and have already build a name (specially Won).

So in conclusion, overall NJ is actually more behaving like SNSD while Ive like 2ne1/Twice.

I think you're right about the fact that styling wise and music wise Ive is more like SNSD (post 2010) if that's what you partly meant. But i don't think they have a third of the impact SNSD had. A owerwhelming dominance in most fields that went way beyond music and a sort of real gp mania that turned the girls into stars.

Actually NJ is the group that behaves the most like that. And Ive on the other hand is behaving more like Twice. Very trendy pretty girls with catchy music but nothing much more. I could be wrong tho.

Disagree. NewJeans is behaving like a global phenonom comparable to BP indeed but they're also behaving like SNSD the real national gg which Twice never actually was.

Their impact is beyond music and the gp seems to have a special attachement towards them.

Firstly because they have mega hit songs but also because the group is very likeable and natural and makes the koreans proud of their global achievements. And just like SNSD they're everywhere. Litteraly.

Also at their time SNSD was a pretty global phenonom specially in Asia. So in this regard, NJ reminds me more of SNSD rather than BP, but a SNSD which would have debuted in the 4th gen after the huge impact BP had in the 3rd gen, so BPified. (the luxury brand deals, the festivals, the BB ranking etc).

(On a side note, NJ styling and visual vise also reminds me of F(x).)
