Keep in mind that all the TBL artists except for Somi are almost completely self-produced (and Somi has plenty of credits as well). Given that Rose has the experience, she would be responsible for her own music output.

An unofficial international fan gathering (China, Korea, Thai) took place in a restaurant, and Somi coincidentally showed up with her family for a meal.

Of course, both groups were surprised. They talked, took photos with bare-faced Somi, got autographs, and by the end the fans were surprised when the restaurant said their meal was paid for.

That's fan service.

No surprise with a member leaving, the debut is delayed now to the second half of 2024.

I'm curious about WHEN she dropped out. If it was recently that's a big deal because they are supposed to debut in the next couple months. Losing a member so late would probably mess up the schedule because they would need to record the music again, and maybe even film the MV again.

the VV makes it way more search-friendly. 'meovv' is already returning mostly this group's content.

It gives me high fashion brand with tweens/teens as the target audience.

A name that perfectly encapsulates current kpop.

(I'm pronouncing it as 'mauve' in my head for now, but the similarity to meow is clearly intentional, as if it's in a dual state of being a high fashion brand for adults and a playful brand for kids)

Signing the shirt was so cute. It would probably be a shorter list to write down the idols Somi isn't friends with.

This can only help Newjeans no matter the outcome, other than disbandment, but I don't see that happening. People like drama, and see Newjeans as a sympathetic victim.

Now that photos have leaked and we have very good evidence that Ella Gross, Bailey Sok and Annie Moon will be in the group, I thought I would revisit the possibility that Somi could join the group and whether that would be a good idea for the group and for Somi.

Assuming TBLNGG's concept is elite, high-class and expensive, with a focus on members' individuality (because Teddy), the members we know the most about are genuinely perfect.

As I said originally, most of the other members would need to stand out so much that Somi wouldn't overshadow them. So far, the lineup of TBLNGG fits that requirement perfectly. They are already famous (Bailey, Ella), or they stand out in other ways (Annie with her chaebol status).

With all the famous members, the contract is probably only 5 years with plenty of solo work (including music) and brand deal potential, so Somi (and the other girls) wouldn't miss out on much.

Somi and the other members would fit an elite, high-class, expensive, yet friendly and approachable "mean girls" type concept, which would be a perfect counterpoint to current 5th gen popular groups. As a bonus, they are not acting, they actually are the concept.

Somi and Annie guarantee instant attention from Korea (both knets and mainstream GP), and Somi and the members are all fluent in English, familiar with the Western culture and have some international fame already (Annie through her Samsung connection), so they have great domestic and international potential.

One or two more members for the main vocal and possibly main rapper and they would be set.

That said, Somi's comments over the last couple years make me think she has no interest in joining a permanent group, so realistically I'd give it a 10% chance, but plenty of people said the same thing about Bailey.

Solid. Not earth shattering, but comfy in its familiarity. The type of comfy familiarity that seems to be in right now, so it will do very well.

I'm pretty sure, most of you will agree with me when I say: This should be the standard, BUT there is one problem with this, and that's YG. He's trying hard to prove the girls can sing live, but everyone knows that already. He should give them better songs. He literally wasted a live band and talented girls on a lame song. I can't understand why he doesn't let them perform the other songs as well. I mean, other groups and Idols usually promote 2 songs.

For this performance, "Like That" would've been better, not a cringe hip hop song. Babymonster would've won already with "Like That" I'm 100% sure. Wonder if YG will ever realize that Koreans are got bored with the same YG hip hop style.

I know people don't like me being too negative, but I just want better music for BM, because I know they can do much better. Songs like this one, don't do justice to their talents.

Annie Moon and Bailey Sok received GLYF (Somi's highligher brand) and posted it on their insta. This is their only interaction I'm aware of, so I would consider this almost confirmation that Annie (and Bailey) will be in TBLGG.

The 8K version is more raw. Backing track, but I don't think they cleaned up the vocals. More like a live concert performance with backing track.

Definitely partially live, but I was hoping for more raw vocals with a quieter backing track.

Still, an improvement over the trend for 100% lip syncing recently. You can see how having live elements increases the energy on stage and the connection with the audience.
