This has always been a dumb take, if you know anything about Twice.
Originally meant to be 7 members, being almost half non-Korean and debuting with a teen crush concept and plenty of individuality in styling, what about any of that says SNSD

Hits aren't the only thing for ngg maybe? Also I do think twice was bigger than aespa around the same point of time in their career in SK. I think gallup may give a picture of aepsa's standing?
Idols appeared on TV more back then, so Twice, Tzuyu and Sana in particular, were super well known, enough that they'd get name dropped on variety and dramas all the time. Idol media has shifted more to the internet now so it might be hard for Aespa to get the same level of recognition from as wide an audience.
Doesn't matter how you see it, Korea called and still calls Twice "the nations girl group". Can't believe we're almost in Twice's 7th year and people still try to belittle them over this.
i know im not fucking retarded.
NGG was just a tool used by Korea to put a face to the Hallyu wave. SNSD was the most recognizable internationally at the time of all KPOP, so they got it, TWICE was biggest in Japan so they got it, its all been replaced by BTS. NGG wont exist going forward because they dont need it.
You're wrong on the reasons for both SNSD and Twice, you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.
Harpers Bazaar had individual covers for Twice, but the main one was ot9 so depends if you count it.
wouldn't say set to debut, but Seungyeon did train with f(x) and Red Velvet, she's close with Amber as well as Seulgi
Imagine if she did turn out to be the CEO and people were saying she was mistreating herself.
Blackpink's isnt even the same, it's more preppy and alot more muted in colour, none of the op pics look the same
Bp sold almost the same in debut year without the physical boost. And since then they’re a league of their own. Don’t even try to start something.
Square Up sold 230k in 2018, the current numbers include boosts from BP's growth in later years
They had a whole show to build a fanbase.
Fair point, but it still seems more genuine of a record than the others to me, since it was an album actually released at debut.
