When kpop was still relatively unknown in my country, TVXQ was so popular to the point that i frequently saw their pictures in many teen magazines. The only other asian 'boyband' that was so popular during that time was F4 lol.

also not everybody uses ads on Youtube. The actual top groups don't, for example.

Using ads is a good tactic to promote the groups especially with god knows how many kpop groups there are right now, i don't understand why people shades groups who use ads.

They used ads, but i just want to point out that the reason why their view increase so suddenly is probably because MYs want that techwear dance practice. Sm tweeted it and the voting just made us excited to stream again months after it was released. I don't think MYs stream the mv with the intention to win inkigayo at all because most of us were really surprised when they won.

Anyway, it's good that sm finally realize the benefits of ads. It's about time they promote their groups more and with the new management maybe we will see more changes from them.
