I always though so, too.

Not political power. But ARMY is massive we can get ourselves heard when we organize it. Like the racism leveled against BTS by that radio DJ in Germany, for example. A smaller fandom would not have garnered enough media attention to get a reaction. ARMYs fandom size, organization and media savy was able to, at least, get the station to apologize and put the DJ on leave. Another example is the BLM movement. When ARMY heard that BTS donated $1 million, we were able to match their donation of another million within 24 hours.
By now, a lot of companys, be it here in the West, or anywhere else, know that if they mess with BTS, they are bound to get a reaction from ARMYs. That is power, and yeah, ARMYs can wield it.

Wut? Did LV take all 7 members?
Yup. And if Bang PD wanted in on the deal, I’m sure they would have made room for him, too.

It was, if I remember right, while NCT was walking around one of the big cities (NY, I think). Of course, there were kpop fans there who knew them. But there were also regular people who were curious as to what all the commotion was about. As soon as they heard the term “kpop boy group”, the first questions asked were, “Are you BTS?”
So we’re talking here not about kpop fans - who you would expect to know the different idols - but the American GP. As soon as kpop is mentioned, it is BTS who comes to mind.

Imagine if he gets the first collab.
The meltdowns will be epic.

Yep!
I think many people see endorsements as the final goal. The results of their faves popularity, hard work and music becomes... endorsements.
For ARMY it has always been different, we are always using the opportunity to spread their music. It's basically just a part of their journey, not the final goal.
This is why we will not dismiss any endorsement for how "luxurious" or "cheap" it is, we just care if more people (new target) can learn about BTS and give a chance to their music.
That's because we trust in BTS artistry and their ability to relate with any demographic!
This is so true.
I see the difference in mindset among the fans of different groups also.
Everybody celebrates their faves getting a “prestigious” CF deal (ARMYs included) because it does acknowledge the popularity of a group when a luxurious brands picks them.
But ARMYs were ecstatic when the boys got the McDonald deal, and we were celebrating how many more people will get to hear/learn about BTS. BECAUSE of the brands REACH (while haters were calling it a “cheap” deal). It’s all about the music - anout trying to reach as many people as possible and making them aware of BTSs music.

And I dont think BTS comeback in June, too many competitors, Lisa, project group from variety show, Brave girls. BTS may prefer not an busy house rather than being packed like June.
LOL. You can pile up all the other groups’ releases in a single month and if BTS wants to release during that month, they will. OP is being delusional by implying that other groups schedules will even be taken by BTS into account when they schedule theirs.
I, too, would prefer for TXT to release their album ahead of BTS (they need a few weeks where the focus is on them). It would have been perfect if their release would be around early May. But then again, IU, Brave Girls and the rest now occupying the top spots would most probably still be around and make winning shows very hard.

Stop stop with all this crazy speculation. Bang Bangcon, their comeback teaser, the possible album announcement, all members in man buns and tattoos, KTh1 dropping, JJK dropping, Hopeworld 2 dropping, Map of the Soul World Tour dropping, Jin dropping some filetOfish,. I can’t stand it. Bang Bang con starting at 2am. I need to get loads of caffeine and sugar!!!
Lol.
Brain overload. Happy overload, though.

Cause there is nothing to fight about. The stans will fight when they achieve something major.

I think summer is a bit too early. Fall would probably be doable because by then, I expect the majority of the population would have already gotten their vaccine.
I got mine last December (healthcare workers/ frontliners) and anytime Ticket Master will inform me that BTS concerts are back on, I will pack my bag and go.
