I'm actually kinda surprised. Produce48/IZ*One was popular in Asia. When did Latin America suddenly become a major kpop survival show consumer? lol

Knowing her doesn't mean they could have give her group a hit. U have countless examples bc pd got 4 season and from all of them the only group to have a top5, even top10 hit it's Ive
Now put together the pieces and ask yourself, why 4 season of a survival show which lead to multiple groups to debut have just one with a hit
Wonyoung's popularity brought attention to the group. You can't guarantee that IVE would have been a hit without it. There's tons of good groups and good songs that go unnoticed in Korea just cuz they don't have the publicity. Just look at Brave Girls' Rolling as an example.
There's multiple reasons why IVE did so well. It's not the only reason, but trying to say that Wonyoung's pre-exposure through Produce48/IZ*One wasn't one of them is dumb. It's like trying to say that Somi and Kang Daniel would be as successful as they are if they never went on Produce 101.

Honestly I think simplest answer is best:
Gfriend was probably offered contracts that a at least a couple of the girls weren't happy about. They argued with the company. They couldn't come to an agreement. Nobody would budge. So they were just eventually let go and nobody was happy. It's like when u think your work at a job is worth $90,000/yr but the company only values you at $60,000/yr. So u just eventually walk away to try elsewhere.

La Di Da was a freakin bop! I just don't get why it lost them fans. It was one of the best songs of that year. ....
And I guess this is all because for some reason Everglow can't get past just getting casual fans. Maybe it's because they started off in this weird middle ground where they were too big to be an "underdog" for small-group fans to stan, but too small in Korea for all of the success stans. And I think adding Yena would help with their sales and some hype but it won't do much to their charting in Korea. I think Koreans will always just ignore them because of the Chinese company thing.

I hear kWiz*Ones are mostly ignoring IVE. But International Wiz*Ones seem to be mostly supportive. Some might dislike Starship but they don't dislike IVE. The only crazy Wiz*One I've seen is literally just Blackpinkhouse lol
(also nobody is stupid enough to think that IZ*One is getting back together again except for some quick reunions)

She's a literal CHILD. Thinking of all these guys thirsting after her just disturbs me

I'm actually more hyped soumungg . Imagine the vocals they'll serve with Yunjin being a main vocalist.
Yunjin gonna be front-runner for 4th Gen Vocalists. Mark my words

I think I get it. So the old one didn't care about unique listeners?

That's realtime. This is daily. Realtime is at #33
Wait.......whaaaat?? I always thought the default chart that see when I go google "Melon Chart" was the 24 hour. I thought they had removed realtime chart or somethin. I was wrong this whole time?!?

When I look at Melon it says #33 though?

I think IVE is going to be bigger in Korea but the Sakura/Chaewon group will end up being bigger worldwide. Sakura and Chaewon are huge stan attractors. And Yunjin is gonna be a star for sure with her looks and vocals. If HYBE finds 2-3 more members that are also charismatic then the group is bound to be HUUUUGE. The only problem is the biggest draw for the group at the start is Sakura and a lot of knetz have hated her for being Japanese/AKB. So they won't readily back her up like they would for Wonyoung. So the Sakura/Chaewon group is gonna have to work harder to build traction in Korea than IVE.
