If I was a Bahi stan I'd be PISSED lol. It's SUPER obvious that Wake One is going to sideline her. They didn't want her back then during GP999 and they don't want her now. If you think it's going to get any better then you're gonna need to inhale some more of that copium. I followed IZ*One for 3 yrs: it's not gonna get any better. Trust.

Heo Yunjin. Some people might not have heard of her yet, but they DEF will later this year

Where did you hear about 2 Source Music GGs? I've only heard about one (Sakura's GG)...

Maybe I'd like it better if this was 2015. And I was 10.....

People have like.....goldfish memory here? Mago fell out of Top 100 Melon after only 9 days (Compared to say Fever w/ 63 days) and their last album Walpurgis Night sold 20k less than the previous one. There was an obvious decline even though Mago did better Internationally. Saying there was no downfall has the same energy as saying that Pristin was doing amazing before they were disbanded: all the actual stats say that ya'all are just dead wrong

Most of them didn't end up in groups because their companies already debuted groups right after P48 (yuehua/Woollim), the companies are too small/nugu to really try (8D/Urban Works), or the company got bought by RBW which probably changed their plans (WM). Hitomi/Nako are still going strong in AKB/HKT48. And the only two actual new post P48 groups (IVE and the HYBE group) will do much better than any post-IOI group did.
I still think they should've added Yena to Everglow but it is what it is. Just like with all of the other ex- Produce members from seasons past, only some members will remain super relevant while others continue making decent money but kinda leave the spotlight. The same exact thing happens to any kpop group really after they disband or some members decide to not renew contracts. Its just normal.

Wasn't that much of a surprise to me tbh. Wonyoung was already well into her way of becoming 4th Gen It girl before IVE even had a name. The group was going to get attention in Korea no matter what. The group only needed a good song and other pretty members to cement the deal and that's exactly what happened.
I agree with everybody else that the Brave Girls thing was more surprising. Sakura joining HYBE also blew my mind

Actually... Reflecting upon this topic I think there's a culture thing in here. Not gonna generalize but some Asian cultures prefer people to conform (in some way) to certain things, especially if those things were fixed by older people than you. If you raise your voice and try to change things you might be labeled as rude.
It's kinda sad... Confidence shouldn't be mixed with rudeness.
The thing is it had nothing to do with confidence. At the time, Yunjin thought she was ranked right near the cut off point for the next elimination. She was desperate. This is the exact transcript from that scene:
Yunjin: "There's something I wanted to say. I really want to show you my voice. This may be my last chance. Can I try for the center again?"
Yunjin: "Yes. It's a bummer. I want to ask if I could try again?"
And when Nako just nicely gave it to her instead of going for another round of voting, she felt sorry, cried, and thanked her.
That was the whole scene. While I do think that it was wrong and a mistake for her to ask for a re-vote, I don't see how just asking for a second try is worth canceling her. You usually cancel people because they're racist, sexist, bullies, or just plain awful people. Do you cancel them just because they're desperate and politely ask for another chance? And also she was only 16 at the time.....still pretty much a kid. Kid's generally tend to be a little self-absorbed at times. But it doesn't mean that makes them bad people. This is why I have a bitter taste about the knetz gang-piling on her. Because they cancelled a kid not for doing something awful but for simply making a mistake that any kid can do.

I mean, Yunjin basically just asked nicely if she could try again for the main vocal position. That was it. She wasn't demanding or b*tchy about it. Just desperate for another chance, and she was thankful to Nako for it. Knetz seriously blew that ish outta proportion.
