Overall: IVE has around 30M more. (they are increasing this slightly due to their new releases, whether they keep the gap and manage to stay ahead will depend on how both acts upcoming albums do)
overall... they're pretty equal on spotify... LSFM seemingly doing slightly better in 2023.

That one i always find weird and confusing cause like if you go to Hwasas profile. it has that one listed with 870M for top songs list
. But there is also this one listed on Duas and Hwasas

For Slow Dancing and the lolla version, the track length doesn't match. Now for LC, it has the same length but I guess there's too much changes in the lyrics. I'm not even sure cause the criteria doesn't say anything about the language.
They've combined songs with complete different lyrics, so i don't think the lyrics has anything to do with it for LC (unless language affects it which would be very.... weird to me)

And only the 5th act to do it... (since 3/8 are Drake)

I might be wrong but feel like 3D barely pull half of number that Seven did.
You know the funny thing about this is that even if it pulls half the number of Seven than it is still 7-8M which would put it #1 on global spotify (unless Seven's gain tomorrow is so big that it block it LOL)
though streams will be split between the main ver and the only-JK version

imo, Touring shows what is likely going to be the longevity of an artists careers and allow for the longevity that many acts want.
If you have touring power... you're set for how ever long you want to keep going.
You have acts like Coldplay, who may not get streaming hits everyday anymore... but they are doing an insanely massive world tour. They built up an audience that they have allowed them to keep going even without getting hits every release.
Twice had a time with massive hits. But its their touring power that they built up over the years that is one of the main reasons allowing them to keep going. Its one of them main things that imo is going to give them a legacy of being one of the biggest kpop groups.
Now it depends on how much you want to weigh having longevity is. But in my personal opinion its an important thing to look at. And maybe its cause groups are having more longevity in Kpop recently than in the past, that touring is brought up more.

wont they be in the military? are all the members done?
2 of them will be out next year (Jin in June and Hobi in around Oct). Yoongi will be out Mid-2025. IF all the others enlist by Dec 2023, they'd all be out by mid-2025 as well. If some of them enlist in early 2024 than they'd all be out mid-late 2025.
Late 2025 could give us the start of group activites whether that is new music, a tour, etc... or even new run bts episodes.

If the girls have moved to new labels what's to stop the other labels from announcing signing the girls? Why is YG in control of the announcements? Eventually the new companies need to if they're booking new gigs for them.
nothing is controlling that. If any of them want to announce anything whether its joining another label or just releasing music outside of YG, they can announce anything if its happened.
-
They're stalling until Baemon is ready. They know once disbandment is confirmed the stock will crater...but if they release the news alongside a definitive Baemon debut date it will soften the blow.
If the girls are leaving and either going to other labels or setting up something for themselves... YG will only have so long to stall.
If Jennie (as she seems to want to soon) or any of them want to release any solo music soon, they'll announce it when they want if they aren't with YG anymore. Any sort of announcement of solo music from the girls from anywhere other than YG... will indicate the non-renewal. Hence, YG really has only until the girls want. Will be interesting to see what happens.
That is probably why they're getting quicker with their responses as they know it'll eventually be revealed whatever is happening
-
I think they all want to be done and be ready for 2025-2026 so it makes sense to enlist early.
Yeah... also with the renewal news... I feel its likely that BH is probs starting to look at booking stadiums for their reunion tour etc. and for that they'll probs need a good estimate of when the last member will be out

True. As i said, it'd take a lot, but just wanted to say how saying Seven isn't a possible competitor is wrong imo. It's only going to decrease the gap between it and Ditto right now as it is gaining in korean digitals but also due to its insane increases on Spotify, its causing all the other acts to have a decrease in their Global %.
-
Also Seven is pacing to probably be at around 1B if not MORE on spotify by the time MAMA happens... which is more than double Ditto which means Ditto's global would decrease to around 10 from the 14.9 it had in the august prediction while Seven will also likely increase its Korean Digital %.
With the 40% from judges being there... it's not impossible per say for Seven to get it. It'll depend on the judges
(as an army, i'm not expecting it tbh, but i do think it has a chance..)
-
Doesn't that prediction list list it is as 40% digital (ie korean digitals) and 20% global digitals for SOTY...you're looking at the Artist of the year criteria.
