My opinion is that Tag Me isn't a Cute concept but a High Energy Concept and Weeekly aren't a Cute Concept Group, rather a High/Fresh Energy group.

Weeekly aren't that much different from STAYC and in fact both groups target the same demographics and niche.

For me Cute = Role playing Weakness or Helplessness, in a manner designed to bring out the protective instincts in the audience.

Weeekly's concepts have never been Weak or designed to arouse protectiveness in the male audience gaze. It's just a happy coincidence that Weeekly look very girlish, youthful, fresh and appealing and people mistake that for "Cuteness".

Weeekly may look Cute but they are not Weak.

Their dances are very energetic and actually require quite a lot of power for a girl group dance :

More than a month since its March 17 release and it's still getting 600,000+ views/day.

For a 10 month old rookie group not from a Big 3 agency, that's impressive.

Also, the almost one million likes shows that it's views are not purely ad-driven.

Soojin's my bias but Jaehee has this striking look especially at certain angles, her face just stops you in your tracks. That blonde hair really goes well with her face shape and makes her entire look pop off the screen.

One fan summed it up nicely : " Jaehee looks like she was born blonde."

The 3 official visuals are Soojin, Jihan and Zoa. Fans call them Weeekly's Visual Bermuda Triangle. But Jaehee really should be considered a visual as well, especially this comeback.

All rounders in Weeekly :

Monday = Main Everything : Vocal + Dance +Rap, 2nd best English speaker

Jiyoon = Lead Vocal, Lead Dancer, Lead Rapper, Composer of many of their B sides, Fluent English Speaker, basically can carry an entire conversation in English, did a lot of the album art for We Play comeback.

Soeun = Main Dancer , effectively second Main vocal in the group, does all the girls makeup whenever they don't have a dedicated makeup artist

Jihan = Lead vocal especially her high notes, exceptionally stable live vocals, Lead Dancer, FOTG, already doing MCing, her visuals is a stan attractor.

I feel like Monday and Soeun look impressive when they dance because 1) they're really good dancers and got their fundamentals down, 2) they're really tall for female idols with their extra long limbs and thus more eye-catching and 3) they're quite powerful for females so their moves have a lot of snap.

However, I feel that Soojin has the edge in intricate dance moves, especially those involving fine movements in the upper limbs and fingers and she moves with slightly more grace.

But overall all 3 are pretty close in dancing ability so I'm not going to mind if other people have a slightly different order from me.

Anyway, speaking of Monday and Soeun as dancers, they just released a Tik Tok :

However, this is controversial and maybe I'm biased towards Soojin, but imho, leader Lee Soojin is the best dancer in the group.

Why no mention of 6 time 2020 ROTY Weeekly???

I feel like everyone is waiting for something from the Big 3 girl groups or Big Hit and are completely overlooking the releases so far from the smaller agencies.

At the end of this year, I suspect everyone will look back and agree that 2021 was the year of the Rise of the Nugu Rookies, when the Korean Public and International fans finally acknowledge that the smaller agency girl groups can compete with and maybe even outperform the major agency GG in terms of Talent, Visuals, MV Quality, Music Bops and even sales/charting.

I feel like Jihan's leader, Weeekly's Lee Soojin is more like Bae Suzy. At least that was what netizens used to say she resembled during Mixnine in 2017.

Especially impressive considering Weeekly are not from a Big 4 agency.
