I just think their back story was/is too complicated for most potential Kpop fans. We just want pretty visuals, a bop with melodic hooks, sharp choreography, likeable personalities and that's about it.

Asking us to invest brain power and focus on a convoluted back story is just too much like work. We want to kick back and relax after school or work and switch off our brain.

Having such a complicated backstory is intimidating and scares off potential fans, just saying.

I get the feeling that a S Korean IT girl has to have visuals that are warm and approachable and many of the candidates mentioned are very beautiful but more in a cold chic supermodel manner and that might lead to an emotional disconnect with the S Korean public. People can objectively appreciate their visuals but just don't feel warm or attached to them.

Weeekly girls have visuals but also features that seem really friendly and welcoming.

Made me realize they can do far more than cute concepts and not only are they versatile, they can execute each separate concept to a very high level.

I have a good feeling about Weeekly.

Honestly, I think Weeekly would compete very well if it was limited to fairly new and rookie groups. Weeekly pick up and master new choreography very quickly.

We Play sold 35,890 copies on Hanteo. Their debut We Are sold 21,450, first comeback We Can sold 26,459 so they are showing definite improvement with each new release. Not bad for 10 month old rookie girl group not from the Big 3 agencies.

Hopefully with their highest ever number of likes on After School MV (1.1million likes) and their record-breaking streams on Spotify, that will translate to at least 50,000 album sales next comeback.
