Recently IVE got me thinking with this whole NOBODY situation. They have 6 members and chose to send the most popular one which I get as a business decision but at the same time. Imagine you're in a group and two of your members come from a very popular former group, and they come into the group with years of experience and individual fandoms. Then the company pushes those two the most. What can you even do to catch up? Le Sserafim is the same but with them I hear about the other members as well, yes there's a popularity gap especially with Sakura. But it makes sense considering Sakura has been a very popular idol for 12 years in 3 extremely popular groups. But overall, I hear about the other members often. I also see them often, Eun-Chae does a bunch of stuff, Kazuha has photoshoots and CF, Yun-jin has made several solo songs.
With IVE I only hear about Wonyoung the most, then Yujin, Liz I only hear about when they're body shaming her. The rest? Gaeul and Leeseo are still the same person for me, neither of them stands out, neither does Rei. And I have followed this group since their debut. I am not a super close stan (but then again I am not like that for any group) but I do regularly watch the performances and listen to their songs. Being an unpopular member is a catch 22. On one hand the company makes more money by promoting the popular one but on the other how can you get more popular without promotion?
If u notice their choreo is even worse, Wonyoung is NEVER in the back, if she is its for changing positions, yujin would say MOST TIME shes in front too, also dont let me talk about the break dance. Yujin getting high notes while liz is literally there. oh well their songs are catchy but once u actually watch the performance or MV ur like this is 2 idols vs backups yikesss

This happens every time someone creates a thread like this with a subjective opinion. There have been a few just like this where op says Wonyoung is the prettiest idol and the result is post after post trashing her saying she’s not that great, here’s why, and this is who is better. Rinse and repeat. People have different tastes.
Doesnt matter if u have different taste, all idols are pretty, some u think are prettier than others, u dont have to put someone else down. u can just NOT comment lol

i mean its easy to work ur mind, its a collab with overwatch, they even played it with gamers, u can say its got popular cuz hybe promoted the shit out of it, it was smart to collab with streamers. Aespa didnt thats the difference.

It’s always an excuse when Nayeon or Momo do something racist or problematic because they are fans favorite. When momo vocals cracked I seen nothing but excuses but if chae f up it’s she need to leave the group. Yes they bullied her for not jumping high. I am tired of these clowns every idol did problematic shit but she apologized and need to learn from it. World does not revolve around America and I have Korean friends. Stop listening to K-pop because I’m sick of you cry baby ass kids anyway. Us adults who been listening before it got big are the only ones who should enjoy it.

i doubt any company will let any idol write their own letter, even when they post a hand writting letter, is made by PR team which isn't the case for Soojin, the only other scandal which had a idol writting their own post was Hyuna when she went over cube lol so i really doubt cube told her to write her own letter and let her post it, at the very most they would write the letter for her and let her post it while the letter was clearly wrote by Soojin rather than PR team
