Why do you think yg groups don't release that much music?

i'd say they are taking the biggest risk. when i say lack of music i specifically lack of bsides and making albums with only singles. they started this with bigbang by doing made but then started their bare minimum two singles one comeback with blackpink ikon and winner in 2017. Lack of bsides will not drive gp away but they lose fans as a result who want more entertainment. its biggest mistake of yg post bigbang
Hmm, maybe. I think it depends on how we look at it.
Personally, I think they could accomplish way more as a company by focusing much more on the music. There's so much potential.

maybe bc yge is a promotion firm that happens to produce music for publicity?
sponsorships make a lot of money for relatively little cost
music takes a lot of investment and doesn't make as much money, so they do as little as possible
just a guess tho
maybe teddy's buried in work and can't keep up with yge demands

The number of content they have is what a standard western Girlgroup release in about 2 years, not in 6

i personally believe they should just close their music division since they don't even bother releasing any music. All their groups' potential is just being wasted. Bp could have been a lot bigger than they already are if they had consistent music releases.
Yeah, if Blackpink can break multiple records releasing what they have, even breaking hundreds of millions of views on YouTube on even just their dance practices, imagine how much bigger they'd be if they had the standard amount of music for a group of their age?

I only follow Blackpink but to me it seems that once their groups reach a certain level of fame, they focus on other type of promotions and if they release music, they try to get as much out of it as possible (so multiple re-releases and such).
Maybe promoting in other way, like modelling or advertising brands brings in more money?
Cause I can't find a good reasoning for why wouldn't they let BP release more music, if it would only make them more popular.
