You watch other fandoms get so much content and then there's aespa who haven't uploaded their youtube channel in 4 months and haven't had proper comeback in 7 months since Savage. SM letting the time fly away like this worst they're letting them goes straight to dungeon after Coachella. It's understandable if they are 5 years old group but they're barely 2 years in their career

I don't know if they're really trying to go the Blackpink route or if there's something internally going wrong, but it really is strange.
When groups like SNSD and EXO initially hit it big they milked them for all they could.

7th months isn't a long time tho.

gg that's not successful.
Not even an aespa stan but what?????

um no EXO had a hiatus for over a year after debut. what Aespa is doing isn't weird or unusual at all if you follow any SM group. it is just Blinks trying hard to push their agenda who makes it look unordinary.

7th months isn't a long time tho.
During those 7 months, kep1er, Nmixx , Ive and lesserafim were debuted. Ivealready had their comeback and about to get their second comeback in the summer.
7 months isn't a long time if SM provided any content but they didn't. I wouldn't categorized Bubble as a content since it was a paid app

I don't think SM will copy love and heartbreak concept for aespa
-
they have a good amount of songs tho, but content outside of music I do agree it's limited

lmao, a blonk in the making ?

Sm tried hard to make the next bp but in the end they only got a new type of blonks and a gg that's not successful.

How is aespa not successful? Don't be delusional.
sm groups don't have much content like jyp groups or hybe ever. Blinks always think everyone is copying.they should worry about the comeback being the last one ever

Exo didn't cb that often even in 2017-2018 and rv had a long hiatus after psycho

how did they provide no content when they released a station single (which was a hit) and 2 members participated in GOT (which was also a hit) and had a coachella performance (again, a hit)
you're talking about Ive's first comeback but don't forget that Savage was Aespa's 4th comeback, they promoted 3 different singles before it.
-
it was the same even after their big hits lol

No content meaning no recent youtube uploads, no reality show, barely any lives, no recording behind the scene video, no any performances for any b-sides unlike other groups. On top of that they aren't coming back anytime soon like this isn't making sense. I hate it , they treating aespa like 5 years group in the industry
Station single was a remake of old song and doesn't have proper promotion and the same with GOT.

why are you guys mentioning EXO and RV like all groups back then didn't have long hiatus? Don't forget during the start of third gen having 1 comeback a year was the norm back then. It wasn't until Twice debuted and JYP started giving them multiple comebacks a year did 2-3 comebacks in a year become a trend. SM also started giving their artist more comebacks and contents a year. So you can not compare the times back then to now.
These days long hiatus is not the norm, the only ones doing it have been Blackpink. So it make sense (on top of literally everything else they copied from them) why blinks are calling it out.

When I said when they hit it big,I meant during their Wolf/Growl era.
-
-
If we count dreams come true it wasn't that long ago

I don't get the comparison with Blackpink when it's about group content - because I guess that's what's it about - when BP's last group content has been over 1.5 years ago, while Aespa's last comeback was 7 months ago, and they released Dreams Come True only 4-5 months ago.
Do you know how many groups there are where the last group content/comeback was way further back than 5-7 months, or where the periods of time between their comebacks is 8 months and longer? It's the majority of groups.

Majority of groups? give me another example of 4th gen groups that lack of content during their long hiatus after they are hitting big beside aespa then

First of all, 5 months is not a long hiatus, at all. No idea where you got that idea from.
And let's look wider, shall we, because '4th gen groups hitting it big' is way too small.
Brave Girls had 7 months between After We Ride and Thank You.
Oh My Girl even had a full year between their Nonstop/Dolphin and Dun Dun Dance comebacks.
ITZY's last comeback was in September last year, 8+ months ago with no comeback in sight, and the hiatus between their Icy and Wannabe comebacks was 8 months too.
(G)I-dle had a hiatus of 1 yr and 2 months, but that was to be expected.
IVE just debuted, so can't be included.
What other girl groups have hit it big the past 1-2 years?
Like said, let's talk again when Aespa's hiatus between comebacks surpasses or group content passes the 1 year, not 5 months, before comparing with Blackpink.
Other YG groups and numerous other, medium successful groups come far, far closer to Blackpink's hiatus droughts.

Itzy came back with Voltage just recently and they're always putting out content. Brave Girls hiatus was probably because BB ran out of Rollin' money.
Aespa don't have the same buzz as Blackpink. They currently are in a Love Scenario space where their songs (2 of them) are bigger than the group, which isn't ideal. They should be pushing the members on the public at every opportunity. Blackpink were regularly on variety shows in their first 18 months, they haven't always been radio silence, only since they got big enough to get away with it.

I'll agree with that, not the bp part but the part they should be pushing more the group, a few variety shows and content per comeback it's not gonna make it, they should be releasing hit after hit if they want to keep their popularity with not much spotlight and content. They seem to be following the strategy of focus on the group more than individual promotion that it's not a bad thing for the first years but they aren't pushing the group much either??? So I have no idea what sm is doing with them, they gave nct a lot of content so they could build a big fandom and they promoted a lot rv with the public but it's none of that for aespa. I guess they think it's enough with promoting aespa a bit in america and they don't need to do much more.
-
It's not EXO, it's TVXQ. SM is trying to prolong Aespa's hype for long as they can. Aespa music isn't the type of music that will do well with multiple comebacks like Ive, or even Lesserafirm. That's why they have so few contents, but they'll release them soon on a show (hopefully).

Winter and Karina were in top 10 idols most searched by the public in Korea. This is only true of Ningning and Giselle.

as a blink this sounds very familiar lol. stay strong MYs

For the people saying long hiatus is a "strategy," it's more like fucking incompetence lol and I don't see why SM would try to replicate that. I do agree that this is a poor time for Aespa to be on extended hiatus though - they were only competing with themselves in 2021 due to Iz*one disbandment, G-idle hiatus, and Itzy not being any competition for anyone, but now it's a different story with other new 4th gen ggs having so much success when it comes to Korean digitals, sales, and international streams. I don't think Aespa are at the point of their careers where they can go on hiatus for a long time and maintain the hype, they have already started dropping to bottom of top 10 for brand rep and are gaining very few subs per week on YT.
