Do you think hybe will try to bag a Twice member

  • if any or few of them left or the whole group disbands in few years?

  • it's not an orphanage

  • For girl group I doubt it and for solo I'm not sure. The only one that have appeal for a solo is Nayeon but I think she will stick with jyp

  • For what a solo? debuting another group seems very unlikely

  • and what?

stick them in a van and drive off to an undisclosed location?

    oh ahem..

    yea why not lol

  • Why? None of the Twice members being much individually so they basically be getting an idol who basically will be on the same level as a rookie/first couple years but much older.

It's better to train and debut a younger idol who has much more opportunity to branch out early on.

  • I don’t think so. I always thought they got Sakura because she had ties to Akimoto and Akimoto is friends with bang pd

  • some of you guys are weirdly ageist and calling 20 something women old, no wonder kpop fans keep directly encouraging weird toxic kpop companies to debut minors and literal kids in groups

You have a point but the reason kpop companies tend to debut minors and young people it’s because they’re in their peak to be trained/taught and supposedly don’t have chronic health issues similar to why athletes tend to be young and have a short career. By the time they hit 30 most idols cannot keep up with promotion cycles and developed issues due to their job.

They'll call 20 something girl "oldie" and then throw a fit about companies debuting minors.

It's not ageist if it's the truth. Look. Most of Twice are in their close to their mid 20s, taking then purely on their own merit how many of them can you say have a career without relying on the Twice name? Maybe Tzuyu as a CF model and maybe Nayeon depending on her solo. The rest have zero relevance individually. Look at BP or Red velvet, all the members are currently busy.

Kpop no matter how you feel about is very time limited, the older you get the less able you are to promote regularly. Look at the 2nd Gen groups that struggled to get past 7 years, the only ones remaining are the likes of Apink, SNSD, Suju, Big Bang etc and they hardly have CBs as regularly as they did 10 years ago.

SNSD is pretty much living if their name alone as they haven't had group promo since 2017. SNSD are mainly still relevant because all the members have solid careers for years and years now in music, acting, TV or movies. Hyoyeon, the least popular has been a variety TV star for many years and has been a soloist for a long while now. They ask built their careers bet early on, some from day 1 of debuting like Taeyeon with her singing. Is anyone in Twice even remotely comparable to anyone in SNSD? No.

Now what would you rather have, an idol who is decent way through their career and currently has no real individual future or a brand new idol who has plenty of time to figure out their preferred career and maybe even change it along the way?
