How much is 1st gen's legacy relevant today?
Same will happen to the 2nd gen, 3rd gen..
All generations, legacies eventually fade.
One or two aspects, events will retained for token acknowledgement as cultural markers.
But as contemporaries who grew up with that music themselves age and pass, so would the legacy of the musical acts.
True of other fields as well.
But first the acts themselves well have to lose popularity and stop producing.
At this point 2nd gen is still well alive and kicking, even if others have slowed down and their releases have long gaps (Big Bang, Psy).
There is still the likes of Taeyeon and that irrepressible digital dominator- IU, who keep the 2nd gen undeniable.
So rather premature to be wondering about the legacy of the 2nd gen.
