Guys I might not enjoy music like Kpop like I did before...

  • I'm starting to be sensitive to sibilance. If you do not know what sibilance is, sibilance is the repetition letter sounds that have a hushing or hissing quality. Through the use of the ''S'' word. Music with singing has a lot of that sound and I'm one of the unlucky that is getting hurt by it. ;( Had to change frequency in my computer's EQ to adjust it so the hissing sound is reduced. But sadly it's effecting the music as well. I still want to listen to Kpop and other music.

  • do you have an example of what you mean?? bc sometimes when i'm listening to someone talk and the eq is off to me somehow it makes me cringe when i hear the ssss sound but idk if that noise is the same as what you don't like

You know when you listen to a podcast or a song where the people say something that either starts and end with the S word and you have that hiss sound? I react badly to it especially if the hiss shound is very strong.

  • i never heard about that, i learn something new today

you can listen to classical music, with no lyrics, but yea no kpop sure. ||;(

I listen to a lot of ambient and lofi these days, but I can't switch off Kpop. But changing the frequencies in my sound equalizer does help a bit and having cotton in my headphones. Also, I reduced the volum. Kpop can never disappear from my life :borahae:</3
