What are the most ignorant questions people ask about your job, hobby or field of study?

They try to get me to indirectly fill out their income tax forms by "subtly" asking tons of income tax related questions.

I didn't study to become a tax advisor to then work for free, you know.

My favourites however are people who give me a brief and unwanted overview of their financial situation (they have job that "pays reasonably well", whatever that may mean, have a car, a house, and occasionally trade stocks but "not that often") over dinner and then ask "how much do you think I'm going to have to pay in taxes this year?".

Good question, but how would I know? I'm a tax advisor, not a psychic. Come to my office and hand in all the relevant documents and numbers, then I'll tell you.
