Jay park is such clown

  • This is basically what I think. Guy acting as if he did not put a lot of energy in his anti bts narrative

  • As an Asian, you're going to hate when someone else mistakes you for another Asian. It doesn't have to be BTS. You could mistake him for some other Asian artist and he'll say the same thing, I'm pretty sure.

He just didn't say it in a "K-pop politically correct" way.

What he said about "I gotta get my weight up" doesn't literally mean what people think it means. "Get my weight up" is a saying for "work hard and level up." He said this because he spent his whole life trying to establish his name as an artist, yet the person doesn't recognize him for who he is. It wasn't a diss to BTS. If anything, it was him acknowledging he's not on their level.

He's praised them time and time again. It's just that all artists want to establish their unique identities, so of course he'd try to distinguish himself apart from them. He respects what they do in their lane, but he also has his own that he wants to be known for.

If anything, it's out of respect. If he tried to categorize himself as a K-pop superstar, people would be saying he's riding BTS's coattails.

Really depends on how you look at it, but I doubt he ever meant anything bad. I see why someone else might interpret it differently, though. We all have our own outlooks based on life experiences.

  • Fck him

Wow. Disappointed by this, but let's remember this was a song from back in 2014, around the time he was starting his new career after idol life. I don't think he has performed that song for what... 7 years?

He's not that same edgy tryhard anymore, at least I hope not. He signed a few former K-pop idols just last year, so that's good reason to believe he changed his tune about this.

Well his attitude towards Bangtan might have changed but he’s still racist and islamophobic.

I’d be really disappointed if JK were to collaborate with him.

Racist and Islamophobic, maybe not. Insensitive, yes.

It's one of those situations where some people in his circle and local area (including people of the race or religion in question) are 100% okay with him doing certain things, but he wasn't thinking about how people elsewhere may feel and he initially was dismissive of their sensitivities. So I hear you and understand why you wouldn't want Jungkook to collaborate with him.

  • Its funny with how hated he seems to be online, youd think he had killed someone.

I too would be tired of people thinking you are a BTS member just because you happen to be asian, i fail how to see how that is a slight against bts themselves?

Whats false with that? 95% of kpop is fake and controlled as hell. I think most idols themselves would agree with that. Even big artists who write/produce are still limited in what they can say and do.
