According to a tweet I saw, the journalist said it wasn't the final version of the song. Maybe they did that to prevent leaks or so that they could change the song based on the critics' opinions? I'm not really sure

it's a normal song? good. i want to listen to it not block it. i had to block o.o on spotify, i needed to make sure to never ever hear it again

So the song needs to be “experimental” and not generic because I want to brag how cool my faves are?

For me, I rather good music that has replay value until the next ten years or more.. not just hopping on the current trend. This is what makes kpop feels like a fast food chain at times

I think you got it backwards here. Good replay value is a song that stands out and is unique, or at least has some interesting killing parts. Song that are more complex than just verse-chorus-verse-chorus with a key change for a bridge and that's it. A song like Next Level is STILL the best song of the past 11 months because of it's numerous changeups.

It's the basic, simple generic songs that have no replay value and feel like they're just following Western trends, where everything has been stripped and dumbed down. Like the Heatwave song, Justin's Stay, and whatever mid songs are currently topping local charts.

Some people hate good music. You want them flop so bad so you’re wishing them a wa da da type song.

They said the song sound "trendy", what is trendy now? O.O
