Anyone else wish they separated groups and duos, or this that just me? This way, there'd be less competition in each category. Both times BTS "lost" (I say it like that because they're still doing well and winning in life), it was to a duo, but if they were separated, they both the winning duo and them could have won. At least potentially.

i actually think that would be a good idea. but then I feel like the grammys would just give the award to white people, we've seen how much they devalued poc artists before.

I didn't think about that. Normally, I'd just suggest inviting more people, but then people might think if more people are being nominated the award will be given out more easily and they will lose their prestige (even if it's only adding literally one extra winner). There are plenty of groups if they wanted to do that. Hundreds of K-Pop groups, sure, but also Little Mix, the Jonas Brothers, Fall Out Boy, Imagine Dragons and so on and hundreds more I'm forgetting.
well they got nominated. didn't win but they got nominated. i'm not having this argument with someone who is very clearly a troll.
There's really not many other "groups" for BTS to compete with apart from Coldplay at the moment so they have to go up against normal collabs and they call it a "duo" and chuck it all in one. It ain't right but it is what it is.

Always makes me wonder what the voters consider though since it is a performance category not just like "best song" or something.
Tbh this is a sad scene. Why are people being cruel here (in akp, not just this thread)? This is one of their dreams, they must be full of mixed emotions with their feelings all over the place. So why are we still judging them? BTS works hard and what they achieved is already wonderful! I hope they know that they are already winners and that no trophy will take their merit! Their music is amazing and i wish them happiness!

ikr... i'm honestly shocked to see how many horrible people came out of the woodworks to celebrate this and overall just engage in really cruel and hateful behavior/spread negativity. if k-pop is affecting your life that much to the point where you're doing that? you need serious help for real. i know you're not an army but thank you for being so empathetic and understanding about this, we need more people like you

This time is honestly not that bad. Less users are showing their glee. It was worse last year, and even BTS had to wait in the wee hours in the morning (they dressed up and all), and the way the Grammys dragged that announcement.. and let their performance to be the last one so that we stay glued to the whole show. So last year was worse to me because besides the many gleeful threads mocking BTS (and Korean media might I say), the boys were blatantly used by the Grammys for views.
Now at least BTS flew all the way to Las Vegas for their 4 day sold out stadium concert, not just for Grammys.

Actually i like BTS and I have control over my feelings and life to understand that situations like this should be congratulated bc even a nomination was impossible for kpop years ago and these young men worked sooooo hard to get where they are that just truly insecure people will see it as a "loss" and joke about it.

Butter did have extremely watered down English. Kiss me more was also a bigger and more impactful song in the United States so it makes sense. Generally, boy groups, in general, have a bit more trouble getting Grammys because I think the judges try to distinguish between fandom popularity and gp popularity. I have no doubt they can win a Grammy in the coming years with a better song.

i can agree with and get behind certain parts of your statement. what i have a problem with is going under multiple bts threads and commenting that Butter isn't a good song, which is what that user was doing.
