is there anyone else

  • I know this probably wasn't the intended purpose of this thread, but my teeth are very crooked and this made me feel a bit better about them and slightly less insecure, so thank you for that. I appreciate it. Have a great day/night!

I honestly hate if anyone ever made you feel insecure about your teeth, love. If they fi have that kind of attitude about something like teeth, that only shines a bad light on them she and not on you,

And i will reiterate that crooked teeth are often freaking adorable.

(My teeth are fucking terrible, btw, but at this point, pushing forty, they’re the least of my worries! ^^)

  • No one ever told me that, it's just me getting worried over silly stuff. Thank you!

Well, everyone worries about these little things, love, but I do genuinely believe that often these little imperfections that we worry about can so often be actual unique beauty enhancers in the eyes of others. I know I personally *love* the little things that stand out and make us uniquely *us*, even if they don’t adhere to trad beauty standards. It’s so cool.

Like, I remember when I was much younger and fretting about the lack of skin and hair pigment I had in patches because of vitiligo and my then boyfriend used to call my pure white eyebrow my ‘X-men eyebrow’ because the x-men franchise was just getting big at that time and everyone was lusting over Halle Berry as Storm, with her snow-white hair. It was such a cool thing, genuinely, because it took something I was scared and self-conscious about and kind of turn it into a super-power. I hold onto that today. It’s all a matter of perspective. You see some slightly less than perfect teeth, I see something characterful and special that makes you less dull and middle of the road.

That's such a cool and unique perspective. I'm glad you have such a nice boyfriend.

That's great to know that it makes you feel better :danceb:

I know how it is, sometimes all this idol content we consume can make us feel insecure like that.
