Do you care about lyrics for kpop songs?

Not particularly, but sometimes I read the lyrics and find something the really emotionally resonates with me. Not all songs need to do that for me to enjoy it, but it's nice when that happens.

It's nice when the lyrics are purposeful, but that's not the only way K-pop songs express depth and meaning. K-pop has a unique way of conveying feelings and emotions, but it sadly goes unnoticed both by non-fans and fans.
I watched this video a while ago. It explains it better than I could.

Yeah usually I check the lyrics to understand the general concept or if the song makes me curious especially ballad, soft or healing type of songs. It gives a better understanding of the song
For example lights out, been through, baby dont cry, runaway, that's okay... Even before knowing the lyrics you can feel it through music. But knowing the lyrics gives even more depth
I cant say I know korean but sometimes I understand some phrases, words. Maybe that makes learning more comfortable
But if I like the song I like it, good story/lyrics is a bonus. If I dont like it the lyrics cant save it

Hmmm sometimes I do check it. For example if the song is emotional enough right like say a break up song or something hopeful… just to enjoy the song better I read the lyrics. Then I can like play it as background music appropriately in my life movie as I stare out the car window 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
But for more pop songs or just general fun jams I don’t particularly care.
