Yes! Yesterday they showed the Saturday Seoul concert in theaters. For places further away like NA, it was a delayed showing so we could watch it at a reasonable time. It was so much fun!

I don’t mind paying this much money to watch a concert in a movie theatre if I cannot go to the concert directly, so tbh I wish they will do this cinema viewing releases more frequently.

I saw clips of armys getting super lit in the theatres, esp Pune Army, I saw that they had convinced the operator to play super tuna at the end of the show and were basically having a mini flash mob 😂😂😂😂

I got curious about distribution and checked out Trafalgar's page. It seems like they form distribution partnerships with cinemas or cinema chains in order to present the live event but it looks more complicated than just asking to show the event. It seems like the cinema has to be persuaded that they'll make money.
I'm guessing maybe they don't have partnerships with cinemas yet in some countries, the cinema doesn't think it's a money maker (someone on Twitter said they waited an hour for the concert before the manager came in and told them it wouldn't be shown and they were going to show The Batman instead), or there wasn't a viable path to distribution? I'm just guessing based on how they appear to have their business set up.

There is a room for growth in the US because there are lot more people but at the moment I feel Japanese fanbase is still the biggest.

Had a blast. I had no been to a theatre in 3 years. My theatre was sold out. It was fun,, very rowdy crowd.
All of you must know that I have seen them in person just 3 months ago

So cool of the theater to play it for them. We had the theater manager come and address us before the screening and stay put through the show to make sure there were no issues. It was a huge deal for PVR to pull this off.
