Can hybe produce another BTS?

  • Nobody can produce another bts, not even hybe

They are a once in a lifetime phenomenon

This goes for bp too even if they are less famous.

  • No. And hybe should never attempt at a recreation. It'll never be a success

  • Nobody can make another bts.

For hybe, it would be enough if their new groups are at least 1/3 successful as bts. Even 1/3 of the success bts has is huge. They're on the right track with enhypen

  • BTS is a once in a lifetime/semi lifetime phenomenon, I doubt there will be another boygroup as massive as them in next 50 years let alone a kpop group.

  • Nobody can make another bts.

this. the people saying that once bts leaves, the company will go back to nugu are hilarious. Hybe is planning to debut many new groups. And their rookies are doing similar to big 3 companies so it's weird that people have different standards for hybe just because they have bts

  • short answer: no

    long answer: nnnnnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooppppppppppppeeeeeeeeee

  • i think now hybe are fine and their own even if bts leaves. they've built a brand for themselves. maybe they will earn less money without bts but they will still be fine.

  • I hope so, that'd be so funny

  • Well, no they could have a group similar but they wouldn’t be able to ever to recreate the success

  • that's a big no & the fact that Hybe still keeps claiming "they have a formula" means that they have no idea how bts got so big. you can copy literally everything bts did and still they wouldn't have a 5th of their succes.

BTS isn't just 'a very big kpop group', they are the biggest group WORLDWIDE & you can even argue the biggest GLOBAL act at the moment. you are pretty much asking if hybe can make another biggest artist globally.

hybe without bts will be a low to mid tier kpop company, bc no matter how much they try to pretend, bts is still their money source & the reason they can make the deals they are making atm.

I agree to everything except the last bit. Financially hybe will still be at the top and last year without a bts album proved it

  • Enhypen is the next bts tho.

All statistics show it. They're charting better than anyone else so yes. So hybe will have the successor they've been hoping for so long.

  • If they could, they would have already.

  • No. But it doesn't surprise that this type of question would come out of a kpop forum. Where every "artist" in its genre is mass produced and soulless. BTS is a result of many things aligning, the key being having real artists before they were ever idols.

  • Do you understand that BTS is literally one of the best selling artists of all time and for boy groups they already in 2nd place, the only bgs they haven't surpass yet is The Backstreet Boys and The Beatles if they count as a bg.

  • I agree to everything except the last bit. Financially hybe will still be at the top and last year without a bts album proved it

Just bc bts didn't release an album, doesn't mean the biggest (and its huge) part of hybe's income wasn't bc of bts (non music content, merch,..). If hybe couldn't rely on ANY of that, they would be a low/mid tier company.

Svt is one of the top bg, but pledis was/is still seen as a mid tier company. Hybe doesn't have any act close to 17 (if you completely exclude bts), so yeah, hybe would definitely not be at the top financially without bts.

  • Isn't what they will try with trainee A? A group with good dancers and strong rapline?

  • With more than 60% profits only from BTS in a year they don’t release an album. That doesn’t sound independence to me

they'll be bigger than other midsized companies for sure, even if bts would leave. enhypen and txt are growing in popularity and they'll debut some other girlgroups, trainee a and the japanese group. Even when you look at last year and excluse bts profits, it would be more than for example starship profits. Everyone already knows most of it is from bts, but it's similar to yg and most of it being from blackpink

Hybe mediaplayed you kpop fans. They made you believe bts only did 60% for hybe last year and kpop fans fell for that bait. Why do you think they didn't say anything after annual financial report came out? Because they realised bts contributed more than what they claimed.

Last year without bts album, bts sold more albums than all other hybe acts combined. Mind you bts albums prices are double or triple that of other kpop groups albums. Digitally hybe groups are irrelevant with bts having 80-90% digitals of hybe. No hybe acts other than bts had any concerts last year because they only generated losses. Remain merch and cfs.

I will be surprised if other hybe acts combined made even more than what bts did in japan alone. Their other income sources like weverse and all are heavily dependent on bts. 80-85% of weverse users are armys.

So hybe stans can go to sleep thinking that hybe will be at the top without bts when bts directly made 2/3rd of whole hybe income last year. Indirectly even more.

Enhypen is the next bts tho.

Enhypen is the next bts? I have to laugh. Stop setting up your faves. Engines getting brave because armys go easy on other hybe groups.

  • The other groups didn't have tours because they're still young? Enhypen is one year old and they'll be holding their first concerts this year so idk where you're getting this narrative from. Enhypen has big sales so judging by that they'd sell well concert tickets too. Idk why you guys say no body can be like bts but then you expect groups to do as well as bts...

I don't even like hybe due to numerous reasons but they're going to be fine even after the loss of bts. Sure, they won't be the top group anymore but as I said, financially they'll be fine. They're known for having groups with huge sales and usually huge sales equal high selling concerts power so if that applies here too (we are yet to find out) hybe will be fine

Who is talking about tours? No one had tour last year but those who have enough fans did online concerts. Hybe groups did not have online concerts because they will only generate losses.

I never said I expect hybe groups to do as well as bts. You are making up stuff by saying I said that when I didn't. Now you are lying that you didn't say hybe will still be top without bts and proved that with no bts album last year. It is visible you care about hybe and you are a company stan otherwise you would have said hybe will be fine in your first reply rather than undermining bts contributions to your fave company last year. Now you are backpedalling to not show you are a company stan.

Engines should start going to school to learn to read properly.

  • Maybe in the next decade.

BTS's situation was a perfect storm of prowess + perfect opportunities.

They have risen big and dug themeselves out from the bottom and sailed internationally

but then again there are certainly things that if they were to fall through would have stubbed their growth right then and there.

I think you misunderstand. BTS contributing 60% was just direct profits. The other 40% income wasn’t completely generated by the other kpop groups or acts. It also comes from their other sources like weverse, games and other investments which are heavily dependent on BTS clout. Taking BTS out of the equation totally will cause Hybe to collapse. If u just meant BTS going on hiatus or something then I understand your reply but if this thread is about BTS not completely in Hybe’s plans, then I think Hybe will plummet.

Like even when people hear of BTS concert tours announcements, Hybe stocks shoot up. They are still very dependent on BTS impact

  • hybe will survive they still have other acts and bieber management.

they probably will just have 300 million revenues though
