Why is Chungha not hyped up more?

    I watched some reaction videos and some call Chungha the next BoA. She also releases very catchy music with great choreography and a consistent sound. Why is she not hyped up more here and her songs not charting very well? What might hold you back from liking her music?

    You see,, Part of why people stanning some idols is their personality. There are tons of pretty, talented, whatever else, idols, but they just don't have that stans attractor factor.

    Take example Yena, she isn't the prettiest izone nor the most popular member but I see her becoming one of most successful soloist (IF Yuehua do things right). She already sold over 83k physical albums on hanteo alone for her debut. That's already higher than majority of SNSD members solo albums sales or even some mamamoo members sales (I might be wrong, I need to check again lol). Why? Well, just follow Yena solo activities and you will understand.

    Chungha had the most hype I’ve seen for a kpop soloist (that didn’t come form a group) internationally. Everyone loved gotta go. Sad she fumbled it up in Korea and everywhere else

    Was it bad? I saw her releasing a lot of songs to drum up interests so at least she’s trying to promote her music, no?

    I used to assume she was very successful, but yeah her Album sales are not very good reading


    I don't agree with some here implying her recent Music is the reason for her lack of success when her older albums sold even less, I think the early Hype for Chungha was from a Consumer base who doesn't buy many albums


    But even then.. 134k Career album sales feels wrong, she should have been more successful than that with her Discography

    I don't think her music aged badly, all her singles releases in the past 2 years have been fire, except maybe for the last one, just the whole delayment of her album probably killed all the hype. Its sad that she wasn't part of the line up for queendom 2, that gig would have revive her hype easily.
