fav book of all time
sun tzu art of war
My favorite book is Cinderella is dead
I’m currently reading a couple of books
I’m reading the third book in the mirror visitor series by Christelle Dabos. It’s a fantasy series very miyazaki ish. Descriptions and world building is really good!
I’m also reading the book ‘if we were alone’ by ml rio. This one is a mystery contemporary book.
I've read the mini bible in the dollar store book section
On a more serious note, I finished reading the first volume of the Metro series by Dmitry Glukhovsky yesterday but I wasn't that much into it so not sure if I'll pick up the other two volumes anytime soon.
Now I've started La Belle Sauvage by Pullman. The original His Dark Materials series was one of my favourite childhood series and I love coming back to it but I'm a bit disappointed by this prequel story
You don’t read ebooks?
i've tried but i just can't get used to it. i only feel comfortable reading print, it's easier on the eyes plus i'm building up my library

Oh I only read ebooks haha. On my iPad usually. Phone hurts my eyes but I used to do that too before.
Reading is an expensive hobby if you have to buy books indeed. Unless you are going to the library Ofc.

it's so expensive while others are addicted to buying clothes and stuff, i'm here spending my entire salary on books lol i try to buy them secondhand though. i rarely borrow books from the library cause I hate having a deadline it kills all the joy
You know Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson?
I've been trying to read it for nearly a year now, but I find it so boring
I was trying to get back into reading by reading a chapter of a book before bed each night, but Kidnapped is too boring, I couldn't continue. I will finish it eventually
*runs away*

I love mystery stories. I checked on google play. They only have if we were villains. Is that good as well?

Anyone into psychology, find humans interesting, etc? (this is relevant to books I swear)

Same! And when I read ebooks I can find more comfortable positions for reading.

well that's precisely how I spend my afternoons
I really liked this one! Neil Armstrong's childhood was really interesting! I read it to do a book report on Neil Armstrong in 4th grade and I used this, and I did a book report on Neil Armstrong again in 7th grade and my teacher let me use this book again even though I told her I had used it to do a book report on Neil Armstrong in 4th grade
I also really liked a biography on Nathaniel Bowditch; he was really interesting as well. I think it was this one, the cover looks similar, I remember it being blue and him being on a ship.
I really liked the narration in both of these, it was sort of omniscient, describing their thoughts and all that, so they felt more like storybooks despite being non-fiction

Looks interesting...Thanku
Oh, would you like books like, for example, from the pov of a sadist? Because humans are interesting?
Oh yes definitely! I would even read pov of a masochist. I am also interested in pov of survivors of concentration camps... okay I just love psychology and I read everything.
I also love biographies, but not the ones which are written like novels. Because those are usually inaccurate.

Would you read a fictional book written in 1st person where the main character is a sadist and trying to prove he didn't murder someone while trying to cover the fact he murdered someone else?
well that's precisely how I spend my afternoons
Mr Darcy
Still trying to finish sense and sensibility
Yes. You know book like that?
Yes
It's a Norwegian book released in 2011. I don't know the Norwegian title but the title in English is "I Can See in the Dark". I read the translated into English version in 2018 (I don't remember when it was translated).
I highly recommend to people who find humans/psychology interesting, it was really interesting!

The scary thing is even though he's a sadist, he's still relatable in other ways
