dude give me your criteria for what you mean by top group...

based on what you are providing it seems that you are solely basing it on charting? and korean charting

ie. in 2019 twice sold vastly more than itzy

one might even make an argument that BP was "topper" since they had their world tour and coachella...and KTL exceed DD on all international metrics...

so give me your criteria for what you mean by top group

I don't think itzy having dalla in 2019 really puts them over twice or bp when fancy and kill this love were still fairly big and they sold many more albums.

There are quite a few things I don't agree here, mostly the recent stuff since I have only been around in kpop since 2016. Red velvet for example didn't do that well in 2019 and psycho came out pretty much near the end of the year, it would be more accurate placing them 3rd in 2020 and even that is arguable since twie & izone sold way better. It all comes down to what do you consider to be more important

overall then I would either put twice or BP ahead of both RV and Itzy for 2019

RV and Itzy win on charting but lose on all other metrics for 2019...

since you've mentioned overall

Twice and BP have greater touring, cfs, album sales, international recognition, YT views, spotify...

brand reputation (if you could that)...

I mean I'm only talking about gg since I care more for them but in what other metrics other than korean charting does Itzy/RV beat Twice/BP (sorry I'm not trying to start anything - genuinely curious...)

The exact same arguments one can make for 2020 with Twice only losing to OMG in terms of charting...but everything else Twice takes the cake

How is 2015's runner up got7?

BTS sold 274k and 204k for their albums that year (the only group who sold more was EXO)

Got7 sold 91k and 90k.

I Need U also performed better on digital charts than got7

(I need U charted on Gaon's year end top 100 while no got7 songs did)

Not to mention BTS charted on the BB200 for the first time in 2015

2015 RV with Gfriend following ill give you a pass but Itzy and RV for 2019 over twicepink? RV flopped until Psycho and Itzy while having charting is a debut group.

Also BTS should be included for 2015 above Got7 imo since they charted and sold better. 2018 between BP and Twice is still Twice due to sales and overall charting, BP's western achievements are countered by Twice's Japanese ones.

Hip is very much on the level of dalla dalla and psycho. For a fact it charted longer in top 10 and top100 than both.

Fancy is below all these 3.
