i think the only true independent label is Bighit. Hybe has more say in all their other subsidiaries

I think they’re independent in terms of they free to produce and distribute their own music. But generally speaking when an overhead has a major stake in another company they have a lot of influence on how the company functions.

Though it doesn’t mean HYBE itself had anything to do with Seventeen’s renewal.

Happy for the boys. 5 years, 50-150 million per year of gross revenue from album sales, merchandise, concerts and touring, digitals, and CFs. Even after accounting for expenses and the cut that Hybe will get, and having to split everything 13 ways, the boys are gonna have millions in the bank and be set for life.
