Perhaps that could be the case. Now according to the music show prediction account @kshowanalysis, the broadcast score represents "The number of times the song, MV, ... has been played on MNET (TV)". Thus, it seems like the broadcast score covers more than just appearances on M Countdown.

Now I feel sorry for this yena girl. 😥

She did ok for the first week (slightly better than Yena - hence the better score) and she is still charting on Melon. Even though Smiley started to do better this week in comparison to Make Me Happy, the scores correspond to last week's charting
