what level of obsession

stalking?

Stalking them.
Talking about wanting to marry them or having their baby.
Their entire bedroom wall covered in posters.
Talking about idols 24/7 and consuming their life.
Imo, all would be a red flag for mental health issues.

what level of obsession does a kpop fan have to reach with regards to their faves for you to start thinking of avoiding them ( could be because you find it cringe or just for your own sanity )
In no particular order:
*Becoming a K****boo
*Getting surgery to look like them
*Putting streaming/voting above your personal life/mental health
*Claiming everything the group says as fact
*Idolizing the group to an unhealthy extent
*Using their faves to be rude to other fans
*Stalking them in any way
*Saesang behavior
*Can't tell the difference between constructive criticism, criticism and hate so attacks anyone who uses criticism (constructive or not) in order to defend their faves
*Unironically considers their faves to be the absolute best at everything
*Only talks about their faves and not other groups/idols or even other things outside of K-Pop
*Wants to date/marry their fave.
Not an exhaustive list I'm sure, but I think that covers a lot of the bigger things for me personally. Have a great day/night!

Yes.

when they are unable to talk about anything or participate in any conversation without making it about their faves. It is not horrible per se but it annoys me personally and will make me avoid them. So i'll definitely be already turned off long before they protentially reach criminal levels such as stalking lol.

there's a lot of kpop fans who legit form their entire personality around kpop, like anime fans do with anime
its honestly borderline annoying and i dont care if im being judgmental

there are some people here who would enter literally about ANY thread and then somehow start drawing parallels with their faves or using them as an example to push their point through and it makes me cringe most of the time. But tbh, that's no where as bad as people who act like fandom affiliation is a part of their identity or has any bearing on their intelligence lol. And, don't get me started on those who let people's fandoms and kpop opinions dictate how they feel about and treat them.

I am actually okay with this in moderation as long as the comparison/example is relevant and doesn't just have a barely there connection if you know what I mean. Sometimes doing that can help people understand/process a situation that does not involve their faves better (key word: sometimes). If they're doing that constantly or only as promotion, then I agree, it becomes an issue, but if it's not a super common occurrence with that person and it's relevant, I don't really mind it. I know literally no one asked for me to give my opinion on this, but I wanted to so I hope that was alright. Have a great day/night!
