Like many of these situations, 2NE1’s words were misinterpreted. In response to being asked how they felt about BLACKPINK being compared to them, they gave the tamest, least offensive answer. Somehow people twisted their words.
It was more like Blackjacks and Blinks fighting each other, but somehow stans think the two groups shaded each other.

CL's "you don't send a tiger to kill a rabbit" was not misinterpreted lol. She even replied to a blink who mentioned Jennie specifically. Even if all of 2NE1 don't dislike BP, she definitely does

2NE1 but not including Dara weren't super classy towards Blackpink, but they were going through a lot.
Korea is overtly misogynistic in many ways and internalized misogyny accompanies that. So I keep that in mind.
2NE1 did a lot for YG's brand, and it's image as a family, then they got kicked out and weren't even told in person. After that betrayal (and I blame YG himself for the drug scandal, he messed Bom up) they can't be blamed for not wanting to encourage Blackjacks to become Blinks. Their fans were all they had left. It's like getting fired from a job when it's not your fault then asked to hand over your client list. No!
Anyway, Blackpink won't be let go, YG is not that dumb. Blackpink are too valuable. They'll be used to ease in the new group. They'll be framed as the little sisters even if they're practically strangers - like BTS and TXT were. It's the obvious strategy. YG might even try to revive the family brand, God help us.

What did CL post during solo era?
In Jennie debut day, literally her debut day, CL tweeted "you don't send a rabbit to kill a tiger" and obviously some saw it as a shade tweet and while some are portraying blackjacks as angels here, blackjacks took this opportunity to shade Jennie and called her a cheap unoriginal version of CL, etc. Blinks also shaded CL but her backlash was deserved bc she was shade in a moment where Jennie were getting tons of hate even by akgaes. CL was supposed to be the adult, but it was funny seeing her shade Jennie when she was a coward who said nothing about YGE (the real culprits of her situation) at that moment.

Some blinks will be petty, idc. But i doubt any gg will surpass BP success and popularity, they are the top GG and i will congratulate the new GG bc I'm not a dumb fan who doesn't understand how life is, but i doubt the pinks will be shade like CL was.
