I always see other fans getting mad when artists I like change their sound but I never had a problem with it 
Maybe it's because idrc about genre as long as the song is good so it just never affected me

Not changing the sound. If it’s a string of songs I don’t like I lose interest naturally but it could be the same sound/genre and it could still happen!

i'm willing to listen to different genres by a group, but if they keep putting out songs i dislike over a long period of time, i won't force myself to listen to their stuff anymore yk lmao

I wouldn't stop being a fan overall because I would still be listening to their old music... I'd just not as big as a fan as I previously was.

This has never happened to me, but it has gone the other way round. There were 3 groups that I previously wasn't interested in b/c of their sound, but once they changed the style of their music, I became a fan of them. :3

Evanescence really stooped in their sounds
cant listen to their newer stuff, even their older stuff sounded so different when they played it in a recent concert

I liked OT5 Winner because they had a unique sound. After they struck gold with Really Really they had a generic sound that I didn't really care for.
Same, I was a huge fan of them and their music but after Really Really, they lost their charm
