Have you ever stopped being a fan because of someone changing their sound?

I don't like rock bands going pop. But I was never their fan, just a listener.

Not changing the sound. If it’s a string of songs I don’t like I lose interest naturally but it could be the same sound/genre and it could still happen!

i'm willing to listen to different genres by a group, but if they keep putting out songs i dislike over a long period of time, i won't force myself to listen to their stuff anymore yk lmao

This has never happened to me, but it has gone the other way round. There were 3 groups that I previously wasn't interested in b/c of their sound, but once they changed the style of their music, I became a fan of them. :3

his pre 2017 music was so good and so well produced, honest to god some of the best korean rap and r&b out there, but i just feel like it went downhill from there and i drifted away.

Yes, I came for the sound. I liked this an artist for their gritty sound, then they matured their sound in a way that doesn't suit my taste anymore, so I have no business being a stan anymore.

I liked OT5 Winner because they had a unique sound. After they struck gold with Really Really they had a generic sound that I didn't really care for.
