Obviously knets do not represent the voice of Koreans, and clearly actors/actresses that aren't conventionally attractive still get work, but I can't help but notice comments saying about certain actors/actresses that they're "too ugly to act" and don't have "actor visuals" and netizens are "surprised a face like that became an actor", which makes me wonder: must every actor/actress be attractive? I get for kdramas people want the leads to be attractive because most dramas are romance based, but for the comic relief, side characters, and ajusshi/ajumma roles, must the actors really be attractive? I mean isn't it more realistic to real life that not everybody is a 10/10 heartthrob?
I Don't Get Why Knets Expect Every Actor to be Beautiful?

Yup but k dramas aren't made to be realistic in the first place

I am actually very happy to see actresses who aren't 100% perfect. I'm kinda tired of seeing actors/actresses who look good, but who can't act. And I'm tired of perfect faces, I prefer realistic faces, not plastic surgery monsters.
Why they don't deserve the main lead? For example, Kim Hye Yoon and Han So Hee don't meet 100% the "beauty standards" of the industry, but their acting? It's amazing, I can't miss their dramas, they work so hard and deliver the best acting, no matter the role.
Fortunately, dramas will be more diverse in terms of casting, I hope they will stop giving only the second lead/bad characters to those who aren't pretty enough to be main leads.

because they are obsessed with looks and visuals
