Do shitty lyrics make for shitty listening

i think if kpop groups want to use shitty lyrics, they should atleast skip english just for ifans' sake

literally me lol, I'll either ignore it or mentally correct it to a version that sounds fine to me

They do when I can understand it, lol. That's why I listen to kpop way more than American pop. (Western pop's obsession the last several years for depressing slow songs hasn't helped either.)

otherwise, no it doesn't... like i will listen to a song if the lyrics are bad. i do cut it off if the song gets overly violent (in sound, like some death metal thats too much screaming...)

People act as if lyrics always need to be some kind of deep and profound poetic masterpiece.

Look at the lyrics below. Basic rubbish. Yet also one of the biggest songs of all time.

Don't even get me started on some other songs that have been chart toppers.

I think what helps me enjoy alot of cutesy kpop songs is the fact that I don't understand the lyrics.

It can do especially for mainstream music. If a song has lousy lyrics I don't listen to it again.
