Can this mean GFriend got kicked out?

They' were kicked out, its so obvious. The way not a single member renewed, hybe got money and promotes well why wouldn't they renew ? Have u seen sowon's interview?

quite obvious they kicked Gfriend to the curb so that they could debut their new girl groups, also gfriend wasn't doing as well.

I really just don't see much good that came out of that merger. I don't think they would have stayed with Soumu regardless but I really think it would have been ended in a better way. Their entire staff was pissed and that says a lot

I suspected Yuju wasn't going to re-sign way before they disbanded. She seemed distanced from the members towards the end and she missed some promotions for an unknown reason. If the company disbanded them, it may have been an all or nothing deal.

I think it might have been all or nothing situation. I don't think there is any other reason for hybe to actually want them to disband. Gfriend wouldn't have been threat to any of their upcoming ggs

Why would Hybe care about competition or threats from their other groups when they get their money at the end of the day? They are company lmao

Exactly! My comment is about those people who claim that hybe purposely sabotaged gfriend just for the sake of their upcoming ggs. It doesn't make sense because gfriend brought in some income too. If hybe keeps around nuest then they would keep around gfriend too, the group doing better

Gfriend was flopping and was on a downward spiral for YEARS. Of course the company had to cut them off. There’s only so much dead weight you can drag around.

I don't think they disbanded G-friend out because they aren't "profitable", I mean they have Fromis9 now which I think Gfriend was bigger than them.G0Friend also has a fandom that is willing to spend money still

There is definitely some other reason for that. Probably coming from Source rather than HYBE but HYBE didn't oppose the idea

honestly i think it's because gfriend was past their peak and hybe is probably cutting costs.
