is JYPN’s debut being so close to Itzy’s because JYP knows most of Twice won’t renew

I just hope Itzy won't be overshadowed.

It's actually normal for jyp. Look at the gap between wonder girls and miss a debut. Twice and itzy. So a new jyp gg shouldn't be unexpected. Only miss a and twice had a big gap.

I mean WG and Miss A seemed to co-exist ok so idk

JYPN was announced all the way back in 2019 before itzy even debuted. There were always plans to debut multiple girl groups and boy groups long before twice's contract renewal.

This also wouldn't be the first time jyp would have 3 active girl groups. Twice was supposed to debut as 6mix back in 2014 and were active alongside miss A and Wonder Girls.

Since Jyp got rid of their acting division and other business ventures they've started focusing solely on idol groups so it's not that surprising they're debuting so many groups for better or for worse.

Why do these seem to pop up whenever Twice is selling tons of albums and selling out concerts and winning awards?

JYP is an entertainment company.

Artists separated to their own management team / division.

They created SQU4D division/Division 4 for JYPNGG.

Mmm, not necessarilyy. My guess is the company (like other companies) want to catch the new and young audience, and also they have other option if one of their group dont renew.

Even if groups plan to renew, some change their minds. It's always smart to debut a new group at the time the contract of your biggest group is about to end, so it doesn't mean much

On topic, the debut time between Twice and Itzy and JYPn is not unusual. It's three years for each. That's standard for JYPE.

Nothing strange going on there.

If Jypn debut, I am more worried about Itzy than Twice tbh.
