Is it a red flag if someone keeps misspelling your name?

I mean, I would directly talk to them about it before making assumptions. Maybe even though they have seen it, they didn't notice or some shit.
If they still misspell after being confronted though, then yeah something might be going on.

absolutely, mr blackjackdirectly

Never underestimate how little people can pick up on things that may seem obvious to you.
You should just tell them directly. Something like "Hey, I noticed you are spelling my name as blackjackdirectly when it's actually blackjackdirecti. Just thought you'd like to know / I'd appreciate it if you spelled it correctly (depending on how you want to come across)"
And then if they continue to misspell it, then that may be a problem.

Depends on the name.
People regularly misspell my last name for example but I can't really hold it against them. It's a foreign name that people around here simply aren't familiar with.

We recently hired a woman who... needs everything reexplained to her multiple times a day. You will have the same conversation again the next day.
The instructions will say use the red tape and she will be confused. She will then grab my other coworker who will tell her use the red tape. She will the grab me and I’ll tell her use the red tape and show her in the instructions where it says what tape to use. She acts like she understands, she will write down in her notepad to use the red tape and will grab and start using the blue tape. Then after we catch her using the wrong tape she’ll throw one of us under the bus by claiming we never told her what color tape to use and say it’s not in the instructions anywhere.
We’ll go through the same scenario again the next day.
I’m just sharing this example because while it may seem like they’re doing it out of spite, they could just be that confused.

People misspell my name all the time (it's always the same addition of an extra letter), even relatives. They would even do it on social media where my name is literally right there on the screen as they type it.
I'm pretty certain it's bc it's similar to a common name and at first glance the letter sequence can give an illusion of an extra letter. I don't take it personally.

That sounds like a bad hire...

For example, they've seen other people spell your name correctly and how it's supposed to be spelled, but they keep misspelling it
Depends on intent. Honest mistakes are honest mistakes. My best friend is dyslexic. She has many wonderful skills - spelling isn't one of them though. But if they are doing it out of spite? Yea, not cool.

Well at least you know they won't fire you for her mistakes either. It's not your job to babysit and they're only doing themselves a disservice
-
either they messin with ya or they have a hard time remembering -- combine that with possible disorders its could be a journey to learn new names
or they stealing your name, figuratively. Denying someone their name is a sure way to provoke said person.
-
depends o the situation, if he/she did it on purpose, then damn
-
well my actual name is Chinese and technically I don't have an english name per se so the pinyin equivalent can be difficult to write or sometimes even pronounce but it's not really their fault sometimes people just aren't use to such spellings and I guess I have that issue too sometimes...
with all due respect my brain has trouble remembering and comprehending long indian names
