Not age gap but an age limit. I’m just not interested in any media with like actual teenagers in it. I can read YA or watch anime and even movies with cast that are adults playing teenagers. It’s not teen stories I have a problem with.
But any media with actual kids in it is a turn off. Including kpop.

That's a really good attitude. If you're in it for the music and enjoying the performances, why would it matter? Do people care how old opera singers are or ballet dancers? As long as they have the talent and ability, nothing else should matter .

That's such a stupid attitude and surprising considering how many young fans get in a tizzy whenever they're described as a young teen fanbase. On the old akp there was a thread in the lounge specifically for fans 25 and up.

yeah we also had the old folks home lol. it's sad because they personally have accused me of horrible things just for most of my faves being 4th gen and how they are in their 20's mostly etc and since i'm 38 it's so horrible and bad and i'm this and i'm that. *rolls eyes* I don't bias anyone under 21 and i don't stan any groups that's mostly made up of minors. I like everything from 2nd-4th gen, mostly 4th gen as their music appeals to my tastes more. but yeah back in old akp when the purge happened i was called several degrading things just because I enjoy kpop. as i said i enjoy music and sure i have biases, and i have favorite groups, doesn't mean shit i'm not committing a crime.

I've been listening to a lot of T01 lately and they're soooo young. This guy is their maknae at 19, but he seems even younger. I just want to feed him soup and make him put on a jacket before he leaves the house lol.

it's alright i got over it and the more people i find who are around my age enjoying th same things the better i feel. I slowly just stopped caring about people age shaming me and calling me dumb shit for liking music. I'm not going to stop enjoying the groups i enjoy so hopefully they just give up lol

i had problem with stanning young/teen idols
when Stray Kids debuted omg they were so cute babies i was like babying them even though I am 00 liner myself lol basically in the same age range as them, then i was like u gyus are cool but i will stan u gyus when u get older lol so I have started digging more of them since Miroh
now i think of it i was so weird lol but prob was due to me being more interested in mature group like Winner
but it doesn't matter now more than half of Treasure are younger than me all of StayC are younger than me, they are like my brothers and sisters
all that matters is talent, hardwork, artistry and music -
Joey Alexander is my favorite jazz musician, he was only 12 when he gets grammy nominee. And my favorite classic music musicians basically already no longer in this world.
So what's the difference? If you enjoy mostly their music and performance, doesn't matter their age or even they're alive or not. -
k-pop idols who are like super young (less than 18) lowkey freak me out a bit. i listen to western pop with young singers (Olivia Rodrigo, etc,) but it's considerably less stressful/cutthroat and they have a lot more control over their lives. idk maybe that's a bad take but it's my stance on it. otherwise, old age doesn't matter to me tbh.
