Outsold in terms of song I like the most aka quality
I like Korean better, their Japanese ones are hit or miss for me
Their Japanese releases have been consistently good,
Their Korean releases have wavered much more, esp recently.
Perfect World blows their two Korean releases this year out of the water. The quality disparity was never this drastic. Doughnut is great too.
I think I agree with your overall point. Twice Japan did Breakthrough and never looked back. Twice Korea did Feel Special and then had second thoughts.
It doesnt really matter to me. I am used to listen to both kpop and jpop so whether it was kpop Twice or jpop twice that turned up this year I am digging them

Didn't know that.
I still prefer their Korean releases, especially this year, as they've put out Taste of Love and Formula of Love.
Anyway, Kura Kura and Perfect World > Alcohol-free and Scientist.
I like both but I do think their Korean team is too afraid to take risks. Its the reason they never seriously promoted cry for me despite the amazing response. They would never go for something like perfect world or doughnut as a title track.
Now that their "safe" songs like scientist are severely underperforming, I wonder what direction they'll go with for future releases. At this point it may even be better to let twice members have a go at writing a title track or start giving them greater creative control like wonder girls.
