yes and no
in every meter of success, bts has long surpassed bigbang, but bigbang is still extremely relevant in korea after every scandal imaginable, 15 years after debut-
i honestly doubt any other group will be able to (or want to) surpass bigbang's durability despite scandals to end each member's career-
also bigbang produce gdragon so that's a huge win in itself.
but yeah, bts is bigger

None of these kpop groups come close to Cho Yongpil, Seo Taiji or Yoo Jaeha. They wouldn't even make 'Top 5 Korean musicians of all time' list and BTS has surpassed every single Korean musician that has ever existed. So the obvious answer is yes.
BTS name will be written in South Korea's history. They are not in this conversation anymore.
