Display MoreI would argue that Stray Kids aren’t the people that pioneered ‘noise music’ though. People called NCT’s music ‘noise music’ way before Stray Kids even debuted and NCT are largely attributed to causing this trend to blow up and are also the artist I usually see associated with ‘noise music.’
However I would agree that Stray Kids have helped to popularise this sound, although other groups have helped too like Monsta X and Ateez (other groups whose names come up often in this debate). I don’t think the term ‘noise music’ necessarily helps Stray Kids pursue their dream, rather it’s just a general term used for boy groups because that is now the trend.
It’s similar to teen crush in girl groups, how Itzy helped popularize this trend, but now it’s just become the blanket term used to describe girl group music. After NCT, Stray Kids is the group that this genre has helped the most though.
This is just what I’ve seen, I don’t personally think that all these groups actually release similar music or noise music, nor am I trying to trash Stray Kids or NCT
I actually mentioned NCT and ATEEZ in my drafts, but decided to not mention them before posting my thread. And the points about them were similar to yours.
The current sound of boygroups had their first days with NCT even though I might say that if you surf the 1st Generation wave, H.O.T (yes, the legendary H.O.T!) has some of songs that could be considered a noisy track if they were released these days. Even TVXQ has their SMP songs (SMP is the "Mala Taste" of SM Entertainment for the lack of a better term at the moment) and they have their distinct composition - see Triangle and Rising Sun for example, and H.O.T's Natural Born Killers.
The so-called noise has always been there if you consider a wider perspective.

Sis, I think this is a STAY thing.
I go on twitter, Reddit, Allkpop and every other place on the internet the fandom is writing essay about Stray Kids' music like their lives depended on it
Yessss stan them. They have always remained consistent and true to their music.
stray kids known for their "noisy music" even though some fans will say nct music was called noisy but I think since their debut stray kids were known as that , unlike nct later in the years people started to call their music "noisy". Some fans might call other groups like Ateez & NCT music noisy music but stray kids were called out for their music by kpop fans
I think they succeed in doing that
