The real winner is Zhou Jieqiong. She’s booked in China, has two new dramas coming up in which she’s the lead and had a supporting role in Legend of Fei which was super successful.

Chungha is among the best and most talented soloist in korea

She's a certified legend as gotta go made the top 30 most legendary kpop song by music experts

This thread is silly.

Chungha and Somi are both doing great.

The other IOI girls are also doing well.

There is no Produce curse.

Chungha was missing this award season - no performance or awards, wonder why? Querencia did ok on the Album charts.

Somi performed at GDA and an award - not bad.

Sejeong hosted MBC awards - she is the most prominent of the 11- Hit Dramas, variety etc.

All 3 released this year, Querencia, XOXO, I'm - Somi did the best in terms of sales and charts.

They remain the top 3.

Could be. But that only makes Chungha more important for them.

Querencia actually did better sales than her previous EPs. So she still is doing well, just that it did not hit the digital charts that well, and not enough flutter like Roller Coaster did.

She might be getting to the end of her contract - if it was a typical 7 years one.

Yes. Somi should indeed focus on international career. Her popularity has been since the start heavily non-Korean. Given her mixed parentage, she would be apt for cross-overs.

NGL to me Sejeong was the real winner. A successful solo career AND actress career, a massive vocal improvement, has made a lot of money through musicals, and continues to go viral w things like her song covers.

It all depends on the scale. If it is purely "money made" then yes Sejeong would be given the CFs, dramas, variety etc. etc.

But if it is just Music, then it would be between Chungha and Somi, at this point Chungha, but Somi is fast catching up.

Sejeong's music releases have not done well since 2016 Flower way. With gugudan or without.

Her music releases are very niche so I don't expect them to. To me I prefer Sejeong's type of popularity, making the most buck with the least hate. I agree the soloist battle is between Chungha and Somi, but it's not over is it. Everyone was so quick to call Somi a flop. And now everyone is too quick on Chungha.

Yes an all-rounder multi medium popularity is good for a long career.

All it takes is the latest release to be successful or tepid and the lemmings will run the other way... that is Kpop for you.

What's your point, you hate both since neither are from SM
