The Feels was perfect for Twice's US debut, because it remained true to who Twice is.
Icon is an okay song, but it's not immediately a Twice style song. It's a good b-side to show another side of them, but shouldn't be the main thing presented to the public, especially for a debut.
It'd be like a store having a kiosk outside that showed they sold power tools, then you walk into the store and it's full of candy and stuffed animals.
