INI is now the 1st JPop-boygroup selling 500K in the first week (who is not a Johnny's group)

  • There are a bunch boygroups in Japan who sold more then 500K and even over 1 million but the only groups who sold more than 500K in the first week were boygroups under Johnny's Entertainment so far. INI is officially now the first boygroup that is not from Johnny's to sell over 500K as a JPop-boygroup in the first week in Japan.

    I'm happy for them ~

  • Just realized that if Japan keeps pumping out these jkpop groups either on their own behalf or Korea’s and they’re actually successful since they’re permanent, Korean groups are going to be having a harder time breaking into the Japanese market in the next five years especially if the groups don’t have Japanese members since Japanese kpop fans expect them in almost every new kpop group lol

INI not being from J&A and selling half a million is where this change is going to start. Japanese kpop fans are going to turn more towards these domestic koreanized groups were they might actually become the standard with J&A losing influence making it harder for Korean groups to compete since the skill gap won’t be as wide as your average jpop idol group not under a strong Korean influence.

Japan allready got a lot groups/artists like that... I mean stylewise or similiar:

    • 9Rush
    • Apeace (Altho they are a Korean group that lives and promotes only in Japan)
    • Boom Trigger
    • BUGVEL
    • BXW
    • Chanmina (A half Korean female solo-artist who got a lot popular for the style of her music. I think she is also the most popular female rapper in Japan right now)
    • ENJIN
    • (mainly the newer EXILE TRIBE-groups, but it depends on the songs)
    • JO1
    • iScream
    • MAGICOUR
    • NIK
    • Noa (A solo-artist who makes also Korean music cause of his failed atemt to become a KPop-idol)
    • ONE N' ONLY (OK not really, but people say they were one of the first artists since debuting in 2018 that were more into that direction somehow)
    • Orbit
    • SG (A solo-artist who is Korean and so he makes music in both languages)

There might be a lot more probably
