squid game is so overrated

Squid game is a survival/battle royale show

with less shock value than the original Battle Royale, less plot than Hunger Games, less creativity than Alice in Borderland.......basically a dumbed down version of all Battle Royale genre shows that have come before

but with classic korean melodrama

I actually loved it :") But I can totally see why some people would hate it

Its not overrated but also it wasn't the best as ppl say it like 50-50/so-so

I finished ep 1 of AIB and i found it boring. I started ep 2, watched 20 minutes, paused it and still haven't resumed it. Does it get better soon? i don't care about the characters so that doesn't help either. No spoilers please :)

the characters are not the focal point

although yes the show has flashbacks about every character and slowly reveals their past

but the main focus of every episode from here on will be the games and what happened to tokyo

and those are fucking good

really

its worth watching imo purely for the games themselves

if you want character melodrama, its not teh way to go

So it will pick up the pace, good. First ep was really slow. I don't mind slow shows but that's not what i'm expecting from this type of show, i need it to be more exciting. Okay, I'll resume it :)

also, the main cast will change drastically in a few episodes lol ( no spoilers )

and this show also has the best and unforced lgbt representation

but you have to stick to the end to find out

i watched it too, it was fun (? ) like the first time. the show has a replay value which i wouldn't expect from this type of show

It is actually really nice but I would agree it is kinda overrated, Alice in Borderland is way better imo but I am still looking forward towards S2 lol

No it's okay I was only joking seeing as this is a troll and I was just pretending to believe everything they said as a joke , I guess it didn't come off that way

My parents don't seem to want me to watch it but if I can persuade them then I'll see. I actually like the sound of it and everyone is talking about it so I want to give it a try.

oh, yeah, you're a minor! was it 15? it definitely might be too much for you, it's gory and not easy to watch. i didn't recommend it to my sister and she's a grown up, i don't think she would like it, it's unsettling. so, wait a few years and then watch it :)

Yes, that was my thought after reading other website reviews a few minutes ago... sounds pretty violent
