Aespa 1st EP review

I've listened to all the songs, a first for me when it comes to an SM group 👀

Aenergy: fan song or more like intro, unlikely to revisit it ever again

Savage : it's a BOP, experimental yes but somehow it works... Unlike NL, this song warmed up to me on first listen... That is everything till 3:20, after that it's just classic SM 💩 so let's pretend it's a 3:20 song lol, loved Karina & Giselle raps, the highlight for me & winter eating her words will never not be iconic lol & ningning really shined with her vocals, this is SM's take on the TRAP genre & it's good 7.5/10

I'll make u cry : forgettable af tbh, will never revisit

Yeppi Yeppi : solid album track, I can listen to it again

Iconic : is well iconic, 2nd best track on the EP, it's great honestly, a literal earworm "vroom vroom" so Iconic 7/10

Lucid dream : so chill & most straight forward track on the EP, least experimental too, it's a welcomed addition if I must say

This is a really good debut EP, obviously not to the height of Square Up but there's 3 bops worth adding to your playlist here imo ✔️✔️✔️

Respect how the tracks on the EP are over 3mins long, quite long for today's standards 👀

I loved Iconic as well. I agree about Savage, i wanted it to end at around 3:28 just after the gorgeous bridge, no need to repeat the chorus and add the ad libs which didnt sound great tbh.
