Why is it ok to use "You are white" as an insult but you'll be called racist if you'll say "You are black", or "You are Asian"?

    History, pent up anger from what I've seen, and because white people are seen as the "default"

    When I was growing up, there was no way you'd be able to insult white people the way people do these days. People who've experienced racism or just in general feel they can say that to white people because of the argument that you can't be racist toward white people, and that's because they don't experience prejudice the same way people of colour do


    Of course, this all depends on the context it's hard to imagine people say this randomly for no reason. For example, in the context of race debates, I've heard people say shut up you are white when white people make statements that offend or annoy them. They get insulted like this because of ignorance, lack of acknowledgment about history and overall lack of experience in that kind of topic to be speaking.

    Context is a huge part of it, what scenarios do you mean specifically?

    People use "you are white" moreso to establish the fact that they have more privileges, not to make fun of their race.

    Whereas people using "you are asian/black" can be seen as offensive when addressing stereotypes. Like if someone were good at maths and then someone says "that's because you are asian" then yes that is racist.

    Those are the scenarios I imagine those words are used where these notions of "saying you're white is okay but asian/black isn't" makes sense. But again, it's the context and I'm not sure what context you're referring them in. Hope this makes sense.

    well in france you can make rap songs telling to hang the whites, go to school to kill white children, make videos where you strangle white women and the court won't condemn you, just like in UK you can make songs referring to grooming gangs that tortured raped and killed thousands of underage white girls boasting how you were yourself pimping the white girls and get nothing, or be on top of biggest student association of the country and freely say "gas the whites"


    Just like you can be beat up and raped in your own country by non-whites screaming about you being a dirty white and the authorities will cover up for them


    Meanwhile a white girl saying she's against immigration will get condemned by the judicial system
