So now physical albums don’t matter for popularity rankings

  • I would say it kinda make sense tho.

Twice actually did well in both Physical and Digital compare to BP before The Album come out. BP was only popular internationally at the time and their album sales didn't support their international popularity.

However, this year. Blackpink was the best in term of both Digital and Physical.. They sold 1M album that nobody did that before.

They definitely rank above Twice now. :pepe-grooving:

  • It doesn’t make sense. BP was above Twice in EVERY single metric except physicals

  • Twice consistently outsold everyone, not with one time big effort.

  • Seems OP is someone's new trolling account (and already with banned status? Makes sense), and this is clearly a troll baiting thread.

But since I'm already reading it, might as well post.

TWICE didn't just have album sales, they were also #1 in domestic popularity, up till last year and aside from that were still doing solid in digitals.

Also, iirc TWICE's sales per album are still higher than IZ*One, even if the gap became smaller.

So it wasn't just bias or prejudice, there was a reason K-pop fans claimed TWICE were #1, and that's because they were #1 in several key areas.
