They do it so well that they all shine so much vocally.
There are some Red Velvet songs that don't suit some members always but in Automatic and Be Natural, they all sound so good. And Irene's dance skills are at 100% she easily owns that genre with her clean and super graceful moves, that's her best dance genre.

Yes they are but their Velvet side isn't always loved.

I hate that Red Velvet had to change their style and concept a lot from less Velvet to more Red.
We miss a lot of cool music.
Unfortunately, in the early years their Velvet songs just weren't as popular and successful commercially as their Red songs.
Which is a shame, because their Velvet songs were great right from the start, and the MV's were great too. And it showed straight from debut onhow talented and versatile RV were, they did songs like Be Natural and Automatic as if they'd already been performing for many years.
Only with Bad Boy the Velvet 'curse' got broken, as the first Velvet song that became successful and popular too.
